Elianne Ramos was chosen as one of the 2011 MillerCoors Líderes because of her involvement in the Latinos in Social Media (LATISM) organization as well as for her leadership in motivating and connecting people across generations, ethnicies and issues to work together for the greater good. Elianne also works for advocacy and education by serving as a consultant for Baltimore City nonprofit organizations.

“This year marks the 5th anniversary of the MillerCoors Líderes program, and we couldn’t be more excited about having such an incredible group representing true Latino leadership. Each one of them deserves to win the MillerCoors 2011 Líder of the Year award – it’s going to be a tough competition,” says Jose Ruano, Multicultural Relations Manager for MillerCoors. “We are proud to continue highlighting those who contribute to their communities, while excelling in their careers and serving as role models for future generations.”

If chosen as the MillerCoors 2011 Líder of the Year, Elianne Ramos and LATISM will use the $25,000 grant to implement a leadership program that will cultivate, train and mentor Latino leaders across the United States to identify and tackle issues in their local communities.

Since 2006, MillerCoors Líderes has raised awareness and highlighted the achievements of national and local leaders within the Hispanic community through an online public voting program and a national advertising campaign. The program offers up-and-coming Latino professionals leadership tools, counsel and the opportunity to network through Facebook and LinkedIn.
