Latinos in Tech, Innovation and Social Media (LATISM) Announces Its 2013

LATISM National Bilingual Conference Call for Speakers

Speaker Applications Accepted Today through May 3rd, 2013

Washington, DC., April 23, 2013 – Latinos in Tech, Innovation and Social Media today announced its “Call for Speakers” for the 2013 LATISM conference, the premier event for Latinos engaged in social media, to be held on September 19-21 in New York City, at the Waldorf Astoria on 301 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10022.

With the celebration of the organization’s fifth anniversary, this is going to be the most awaited annual event that will follow up the approach LATISM started last year in Houston centered in four tracks: Business empowerment, Technology Leadership, Health Innovation and Transforming Education.

As it has been approached in past LATISM conferences, the program will focus on tech innovation and social media trends in the areas of Health, Education, Business and Technology. Top experts in these industries will share best practices, case studies and key learnings in a diversity of industries based on the US Latino experience.

The “Call for Speakers” this year will focus on 100+ sessions targeting some of the hottest essential topics for Latinos today and in the future. These sessions, combined with tracks produced by our conference partners, will bring more than 200 speakers and conference sessions covering a diverse span of Latino-centered topics. Session speakers are chosen from the brilliant community surrounding LATISM to provide knowledge and valuable experience to those looking to improve their social media outreach skills. Speakers will receive a free pass to the conference and excellent exposure for themselves and their organizations.

Speaker proposals will be accepted through 5 p.m. EST, May 3rd, 2013. Submissions will be evaluated based on their relevancy and potential. Those interested in becoming a speaker can begin the submission process by visiting

More than 1,000 professionals from every industry attend LATISM Conferences every year.
