Top Blogueras Go From the White House to The United Nations

logo2

logo2Last year, the top Latina voices of the country went to the White House to discuss key issues affecting their communities and they made their influential voices heard loud and clear.  These Top Blogueras represent the voices of their respective communities of readers.  This year, they have been invited to the United Nations  to meet with top officials of the Secretariat.  At the UN, we will cover issues regarding Education, Health, Business, Gender Equality and Tech Inclusion.

Based on the tradition we started last year, the UN visit will take place in the context of a leadership retreat from September 18th to the 19th.  Our Top Blogueras will have the unique opportunity to focus on “What’s Next.”  The retreat will include the top executives of the country who will inspire our mujeres with inspirational (TED-like) talks paired with one-on-one mentoring throughout the day.

The selection criteria for the Top Blogueras this year will be very simple: the combination of traffic numbers and quality of content.  Thanks to the sponsorship of Johnson & Johnson, Google, Suave and Univision, most of the bloggers will attend with a full scholarship.  These partners understand the importance of capacity building among women who have already demonstrated all traits of leadership in new media, an industry they have helped create from scratch.

If you consider yourself to be a Top Bloguera or if you know someone who is a leader, please complete the application for this year’s selection: Click Here To Apply

The selected list will be announced on Monday.  The selection will be made in partnership with Blogs by Latinas, Latina Bloggers Connect, Ella InstituteLas Blogueras and Hispana Global.  All women-owned businesses that lead communities of bloggers with exemplary leadership.
For those of you who would like the opportunity to partner as media or sponsor, you may contact us at admin@latism.org. Please note that this is a competency building retreat.  No product promotion or placement will be allowed.  If you are in, it must be to genuinely help our leaders develop key skills as business owners and advocates for their communities.
Since resources are limited, we can only select 100. I take this opportunity to wish each applicant the best of luck.  Your leadership is already evident by making the decision to own your voice and share it with the world.
