Latinos in Social Media (LATISM) takes over Times Square on Friday, October 28 with a Digital Billboard On The World-Famous Reuters Sign
Billboard Unveiling on Friday, October 28 is part of celebrations leading up to the organization’s National Conference on November 9 to 11, 2011
WASHINGTON, DC – October 24, 2011 – Latinos in Social Media (LATISM), the largest organization of Latinos engaged in Social Media announced today that the organization will celebrate its upcoming LATISM ’11 conference with a 7,400 square foot digital billboard atop the world-renowned Reuters sign at 3 Times Square, New York City on October 28, 2011 at 6:30 pm.
To accompany the unveiling of the billboard, the non-profit has also organized a NYC Chapter Tweetup immediately following it, which will take place at the Heineken New York City Offices. During the tweetup, several lucky winners will also have a chance to win tickets to the conference, one of the most anticipated social media events of the year.
The billboard unveiling is part of the organization’s celebration leading up to its bilingual National conference, to be held in Chicago in November 9 to 11, 2011. Photographs taken in Times Square on October 28th will be live-tweeted on the day of the event, then displayed as part of a multimedia display during the conference.

As the world’s largest digital display system, the Reuters sign soars 23 stories into the sky above Times Square and reaches more than 1.5 million people per day. The billboard was made possible thanks to a partnership with PR NewsWire, one of the conference media partners.
