Education is, arguably, the most important issue of our times for Latinos. At a time when Latinos lead the dropout rates for High School graduation in the United States, it is essential that we unite to build awareness of this important topic among our LATISM community and most importantly, that we reach out to parents, educators and the general Latino population who may or may not be involved in social media.
Along with Technology, Health and Economic Empowerment for Latinos, Education is one of the “Four Pillars” of our LATISM mission. For this reason, when the Univision Network reached out to us to support the Es El Momento campaign, we readily jumped at the opportunity!
The response from our community has been overwhelming, as you will see below. LATISM is very proud and grateful to UNIVISION for the opportunity to support their campaign, and to our amazing community of bloggers and social media experts who have demonstrated their passion and commitment to this cause that is so very deserving of our support!
LATISM urges you to please follow our committed bloggers listed below, visit their blogs, comment, and share these pro-education blogs with your online and offline networks. Let’s spread this important message far and wide – together, we can help efforts to better the educational achievement of all Latinos/Hispanics: Es El Momento, LATISM!!

Powerful collaboration between LATISM & Univision, especially w/all that’s going on in the LAUSD; hope this inspires more parents to become actively involved in their children’s education. It all starts at home.
This is amazing and a great forward thinking step! They are hearing what has been said many times on #latism based on your mission statement and in the hearts & voices of many. Congratulations!
I’m humbled to be part of this community. Thank you all for pushing the education awareness so far. Our estudiantes need your voices and we’re not letting them down.
