6/1 LATISM Party: Redefining the Latin@ Blogosphere

UPDATE: What an amazing chat this turned out to be! Our Latino Blogosphere truly came out in droves to chat about their blogging habits, success secrets and their thoughts about their place within the blogging industry. Read on to the transcript for world of bloggy-wisdom captured 140-characters at a time during our LATISM Latino Blogosphere Twitter party. Enjoy!

Chances are, if you are reading this, you have a blog [or two]. You have an audience that you engage with on a consistent basis. You have blogger friends, the people you interact and share insights with online every day. You know there are thousands who, like you, express their Latinoness online through their musings, their concerns and insights. Yet, when it comes to finding data about us, there’s really little to no information available in regards to “influentials” among the  Latino Blogging world.

In light of this, for the second year in a row, LATISM has embarked on answering this question. After last year’s groundbreaking LATISM Latina Blogger Survey, we set about to discover who are these Latino Influencers: the voices that create trends, magnify messages and revolutionize the blogosphere as they editorialize information and tailor it to their respective audiences.

And tonight on LATISM, we set out to define [or redefine] our Latino Blogosphere –and share some of the highlights from our 2011 LATISM Blogosphere Survey!

  • Who are we?
  • What do we blog about?
  • What defines us as bloggers?
  • How can we maximize our impact in issues that matter to us as Latinos through our voices?

Whether you are a seasoned blogger or a newbie, this is one conversation you don’t want to miss!

Me too! Maybe you can start an email auto responder thing to let us know when all these events are?

Wow this is really exciting. Are there going to be blog parties too?

I think blogs are good but you can’t exactly see what is going on all at the same time. Twitter is good for that.

Thanks for providing the transcript. I look forward to reading it and join in the fun!
