LATISM and L4LL Summer Reading Twitter Party

downloadBy: Viviana Hurtado, Ph.D.
Along with my partner Monica Olivera, we are so excited to partner with LATISM for a Twitter Party this Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 9PM EST.
Monica and I run Latinas for Latino Literature (L4LL), an organization that promotes U.S. Latino authors and raising literacy rates in the Hispanic community. We will be discussing our Latino Children’s Summer Reading Program, powered by Google, and why we are galvanizing in one way, to tackle our community’s education attainment and achievement. We believe that a more educated Latino community is a big win for our country.
L4LL’s Latinos Children Summer Reading Program is the first, nationwide, online program designed specifically for Latino kids and their families with recommended reading lists divided by age and reading level featuring exclusively U.S. Hispanic kids literature and using technology to engage not just students but their parents. The reward for this hard work are cool giveaways, including tablets! Did we mention, signing up is free, GRATIS, which you can do by clicking here. But hurry: registration closes on Sunday, July 14th.
Until we tweet up this Thursday, ¡a leer!
