LATISM ADDS NEW CATEGORY TO AWARDS PROGRAM:
“BEST SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN OF THE YEAR”
LOS ANGELES, Calif. – September 13, 2010 — Latinos in Social Media (LATISM), the largest organization of social media professionals of Hispanic origin, announced today that it has added a final category to its awards program: “Best Social Media Campaign for Engaging California Latinos in 2010.” All businesses, non-profits, consultants, and agencies are invited to nominate their best work via LATISM’s online nomination form.
“The response to the LATISM awards program from the California marketing community has been overwhelming,” said Giovanni Rodriguez, vice chair of events and programs for LATISM and co-producer of Latino2. “We saw an opportunity to not only recognize the best practitioners, but the best work, as well.”
The campaign with the most nominations by the end of the awards polling period – September 17, 6PM Pacific – will be granted the award. Winners in each of the award categories – eleven in all — will be announced September 18th, at the Latino2 conference at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
