It’s that time of year: the 21st annual SXSW Interactive Festival returns to Austin, March 7, and this year, for the first time ever, a Latinos in Technology Track will be featured as a part of the famed conference’s programming.
The Latinos in Tech track is scheduled to be a three-day-long program that will feature sessions on trends and innovations in the tech and digital space that impact the Latino community.
In addition, to help kick-off SXSW’s Latino in Technology sessions, Kapor Center for Social Impact and Kety Esquivel will host Latin@ Tech Pre-Conference on Thursday, March 6, at the Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. LATISM and MomsRising are community partners for the event!
This one-day event will feature Latino thought leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, media creators and social game changers along with guest speakers including NPR’s Latino USA host, Maria Hinojosa, founder of Lotus Development Corporation, Mitch Kapor and Kapor Center’s Managing Partner, Nicole Sanchez. A full day of panel sessions are also part of the event.
The Latin@ in Tech Pre-Conference was created in effort to maximize the opportunity for Latinos to both benefit from and contribute to the SXSW experience. It will also provide a more intimate experience of being able to network and engage directly with Latino peers, mentors and investors. The event is free but reservations are required: APPLY HERE
