With The Theme “The Latino Vote”, The LATISM Google+ Hangout On Air Will Feature Participants From Top Latino Community Organizations Including NALEO, UNIVISION, NCLR And LULAC

Latinos in Social Media (LATISM), the largest organization of Latinos in the social media arena is proud to announce the first-ever Latino Google+ Livestreamed Hangout, to be held online on Tuesday, May 1st, 2012 at 7:00 pm EDT. The conversation is the latest in the organization’s efforts, as a partner to the Ya Es Hora campaign, to bring to the forefront the importance of exercising the power of the vote in the upcoming elections and beyond.

“As the first Latino organization to have access to this break-through technology, we’re beyond overjoyed to be able to use what we do best, social media, to elevate the Latino online conversation,” said Elianne Ramos, Vice Chair, Marketing and PR for LATISM. “This will be the very first in a series of live-streamed conversations revolving around the most pressing Latino issues. Our goal is to continue using the amazingly powerful tool that is technology in creative ways for the empowerment of our community.”

Joining the exciting lineup for the live-streamed hangout is a veritable round-up of the country’s top Latino experts in media and community organizing, who will answer on-air questions from Ramos, as well as questions submitted by the community on the LATISM GooglePlus page and Twitter during the hour-long open forum.
