In Philly, the Latino activist and community leaders are launching a campaign of HIV/AIDS awareness. According to Elicia Gonzales From National Latino AIDS Action Network says, that one of the biggest problems is that Latinos test infections at a later stage. Elicia states” Pennsylvania ranks number eight on the top ten states with Latinos estimated to be living with AIDS.”
One of the solution for this is to make test and treatments more accessible to the Latino community. Many organizations are already providing health services of HIV/AIDS. Some of the organizations involved in this campaign are Prevention Point Philadelphia and We Are Greater Than AIDS.
