Interactive gaming solves weaknesses in online dating
New York, NY- August 26th, 2014 – Today, Alquimi Innovations announces its Beta Testing and Kickstarter campaign for Karma a novel new online dating game. Karma aims to breakaway from the superficiality of typical dating interactions by encouraging users to forge meaningful connections on the path to their soulmate. Unlike popular dating staples like Tinder, OkCupid, and Plenty of Fish, Karma is all about building genuine relationships through interactive gaming. In Karma users are able to truly get to know their potential match by playing each other, and collaborating in team challenges.
In the game users begin their journey by selecting an avatar that best expresses their personality. The use of personal photos and selfies are reserved for after a connection has been established. Next the Karma Guru (the Game’s Artificial Intelligence) presents three different paths to choose from. Users specify their end objective by choosing from values, compatibility or intimate preferences. From this point players enter directly into game with their avatars or they can fill out their Journey Book to narrow their search. In the Journey Book daters can customize over 350 different characteristics regarding their dating preferences and interests. The game always challenges you to define who you are, to know yourself and to be as honest as you can be…
Players get to “play” potential soulmates through “truth bomb” questions, astrology matches, game challenges and music sharing as well as Introductions, Chatting and the “Let’s go Out” button (where online games turn into offline activities, dates, and meet-ups).
How many lives will it take to find your soulmate?
Every game has risk. In Karma, players have the ability to zap other players out of the game. Why will you zap someone? Maybe you think they aren’t representing themselves truthfully. Why will you get zapped? It could be because another player is just in a zapping mood or maybe they don’t want to play the game with you.
You don’t need a reason to zap someone, and they don’t need a reason to zap you. Since Karma is transparent, you must declare why you zapped someone. Everyone in the community knows how many players you’ve zapped and why. If you’re an overzealous zapper, you may get zapped yourself for that very reason!
Stay alive to find your soulmate.
Protect your Avatar with multiple lives. If you have one life and you’re zapped, you’re out of the game and you have to start over from scratch. With multiple lives, you can get zapped and still keep playing to continue your search for your soulmate.
In Karma all daters are held accountable for their actions while playing through the power of the “ZAP!” When daters feel players aren’t representing themselves truthfully you can lose a life by being “ZAPPED!” out of the game. Will you get ZAPPED! and why? Players must purchase additional lives to get admitted back into the game and may continue on the search for their match.
Players can remain anonymous by keeping their photos, videos and other personal information locked or they may decide to open their safe to a potential soulmate. Players ultimately win in Karma when they have found their soulmate, transforming their online connection into an offline relationship.
Karma will enter the market with desktop and Browser access and begin its App development once the Beta is live. The App will be free to download and there are 3 free lives for 30 days available to new players. After that users can buy one life for $1.99, six lives for $6.99 or nine lives for $9.99. Life purchases last up to 30 days, but your Avatar can last for as long as you renew and you can renew at any life package that you’d like. The game is fully functional no matter how many lives are purchased, but if all the lives are lost before the 30 days the Avatar cannot be renewed and the player has to start all over again.
Beginning September 8th 2014 Alquimi Innovations will launch it’s first round of fundraising through Karma’s Kickstarter campaign. Supporters may join the the Core Beta team, shape future product development and be the first to go on NYC dates and outings. (Link to Kickstarter)
Alquimi Innovations is currently seeking NYC singles to sign up and test the game. Karma Beta testers will be a vital part in helping develop the game into its app format.
