Nolan Treadway is the Political Director and Logistics Director for Netroots Nation, the largest annual in-person gathering of progressives working online. Nolan started volunteering with the convention that would become Netroots Nation (when it was known as the YearlyKos Convention) over a year before the first gathering. Since then Nolan has overseen logistics and helped with strategic vision as the organization grew from an all-volunteer operation to one with several staff and a year-round presence. Alma D. Suárez currently supports the email marketing at AARP as a consultant in their online marketing department. Originally from Southern California, she brings with her more than five years of experience in public relations, partnership development, web, cross-cultural and social marketing, in both the public health and corporate communications arenas. She moved to DC in 2007 to work on the National Institute on Drug Abuse’s (NIDA) Emmy nominated public service campaign (PSA) Drugs +HIV >Learn the Link to educate Hispanic/Latino youth about the link between non-injection drug use and HIV transmission.
