#iMarch Movement: Join us AppNexus on 5/22 as we unite in our discussion on immigration reform and its impact on Innovation

Whoever is against the Comprehensive Immigration Reform (#CIR), will be considered an enemy of the Latino Family.  We will list names and last names and keep them in mind on our way to the election ballots.  This isn’t a threat, it’s a promise that we will will keep.   At a time where our economy needs more jobs and more qualified candidates, we must show our urge for prosperity.  Our voices can’t go unheard. It is now a time for change.  This bill should not be overlooked or blocked like the gun control bill.  We saw that political games are stronger than the American people’s choices.  We must give our politicians no other chance but pay attention to the Immigration Reform bill.    Don’t stay passive watching.  We need you and your familia in the fight.  EVERYONE must join since EVERYONE in the Latino community will benefit directly or indirectly.

How can you help:

In Cyberlandia: Join the virtual march for innovation.  Your voice is strong, poderosa, unique and forceful.  Let’s unite our voces to iMarch on Wednesday and Thursday.  Our traditional Thursday party this week at 9 pm (EST) will be leading the iMarch vigil for that hour.  Join millions of innovators who will fight for our cause. Ahi te espero!

In New York City:   Join us at AppNexus on Wednesday, May 22nd for the first night of the March for Innovation. The event will feature innovators and entrepreneurs in a discussion about immigration reform and its impact on innovation.  The LATISM-NY familia will be there!

  • 6:30 PM: A fireside chat with Fred Wilson, Co-founder of Union Square Ventures, and Brian O’Kelley, CEO and CO-founder of AppNexus
  • 7:00 PM: A conversation with Jalak Jobanputra, Managing Partner of FuturePerfect Vetures, and Alexis Ohanian, Co-founder of reddit, about their personal immigration stories, moderated by Nithya Das, Acting General Counsel of AppNexus
  • 7:30 PM: Reception with food and drinks
Partake in iMarch and show politicians (regardless of their political party) that we are not going to rest until we are acknowledged as a nation.  The Immigration reform is just the fuel we need to get moving towards economic growth.  Lets work together to keep talented entrepreneurs and innovators rather them sending them abroad.
