Hurricane Sandy: Destroyed Business in Manhattan

Hurricane Sandy gave a big hit to the Lower Manhattan, the storm was out of the radar. Battery Park neighborhood was one of the worst that got hit. The damage from the water is going to be a big job to cleanup. Power outages and subway flooding will result in an inconvenience for days.

There were reports of flooding in many low-lying areas around the five boroughs. In lower Manhattan, the water crossed South Street, and cars were floating around Wall Street.  In Brooklyn, water had piled back onto Van Brundt Street — which flooded during the morning. In Ninth Street in Gowanus was a nearly uncrossable river of water.
