Today, we highlight the queen of the oferta, LATISM’s 2013 Best Latina Bilingual Blogger: Denisse Icaza!
Denisse is the best of the best when it comes to bilingual blogging and what better day to introduce her than on Black Friday!
Her site, Ahorros Para Mamá, is a guide to saving money as a Latina Mom, entirely in Spanish. One of the first blogs of its kind, she excels in her personalized suggestions of budget-friendly meals or shopping discounts on favorite brands that are guaranteed to save money without sacrificing quality or culture.
Don’t miss her YouTube videos either! Here is a great recipe for Chocoflán!
Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Denisse Denisse Icaza is a freelance writer and social media consultant with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Florida Atlantic University. She grew up in a home where Spanish was the main language and is passing on the tradition to her three young children who are also being raised bilingual. Happily married to her husband and living as a family in South Florida, her influence in the Latino community has dramatically increased since the launch of Ahorros Para Mama 5 years ago. When she isn’t managing Ahorros Para Mamá or working at Gigcoin as a community manager, Denisse enjoys reading, baking with her children, singing, vlogging, and trying new recipes.
Some of her accolades include features on Univision, NBC, Telemundo, the Sun-Sentinel and AméricaTeve in addition to various online publications.
