Child’s Motivation To Learn: Parent’s Perspective

The goal of this chat was to ignite a healthy discussion around the role parents, family, and culture play in a child’s motivation and in their academic achievement.

Data tells us what we intuitively know, that parents, peers, teachers, family background and other external factors  influence a child’s desire to learn.  But, to what extent does our culture, family background, and parental involvement affect the child’s academic success and their  intrinsic motivation to learn?
