Cancer Treatment Saves Leukemia Patient

Novartis, a drug company is betting $20 million on a cancer treatment. According to The New York Time’s, this treatment have seems to saved a little girl’s life.

Emma Whitehead, a six-year old leukemia victim was almost dying. She went through chemotherapy twice and no results. Emma’s parents put her through an experimental treatment at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

This treatment consist of a version of HIV, reprogrammed to attack cancer cells. Emma almost died with this treatment but luckily her treatment worked and now she’s in recovery.

The treatment haven’t worked for all the patients. This treatment have completely failed two adults, but have also worked on three adults.
