8/22 #LATISM TWITTER PARTY: BUILDING A FIT AND HEALTHY LATINO COMMUNITY

Did you know the lack of regular exercise has a direct impact on your physical and emotional health?

Bad eating habits and living a sedentary lifestyle, also known as “sitting disease”, cause more deaths

than smoking. Over 60% of the Hispanic population in the U.S. is either overweight or obese, so… if you

want to avoid serious health problems linked to obesity – heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, high

cholesterol, arthritis, breathing problems, and certain types of cancer –it’s time for you to stand up for

your health!

For the first time LATISM is taking action to help get our community moving and is launching two (02)

great sports initiatives to get you fit and healthy. A Tennis Tournament sponsored by the United States

Tennis Association (USTA) at the US Open facilities in New York City and a 5K run at the beautiful Central Park supported by Mayor Bloomberg himself. Contact Ernesto Sosa at:

esosa@sowebinc.com if you want to participate in the 5K run.

Join #LATISM tonight as Larry Pedrosa (Latism Tennis Tournament Director) and Ernesto

Sosa (Latism 5K Race Director) answer all your questions about the sports events and help you create a

training plan. Let’s talk about fitness and good eating habits to promote a healthier latino lifestyle!
