By all accounts, Latinos in the US are a demographic that cannot be ignored or taken for granted. As a community often dubbed the ‘worker bees of the nation’, we have left an indelible mark in every single aspect of this country. Still, and perhaps as a sign of the growing pains of our developing identity, we seem to be enmeshed in inner turmoil as we try to redefine who we are and what success looks like as individuals and as a community… and many times, as well, we find that our successes get little, if any, airplay.
Tonight on LATISM, we’ll take a look at the secrets to Latino success and what still needs to happen in order for us to embrace and OWN our achievements and —why not?— to have those accomplishments finally get the much-deserved recognition of society at large. We’ll also take a moment to share YOUR success stories as a Latino living in America.
