2/7 #LATISM Twitter Party: #OurEconomy Chat with NCLR and Center for American Progress!

Many would agree that lately it’s been tough for American workers, even as there seems to be a turnaround in the financial horizon.

For Latinos the situation looks particularly grim, given the unique barriers they face in the labor market.  Not only do they face high unemployment but also the assumption that they don’t belong in this country.  Anti-immigrant rhetoric has helped further fuel the scapegoating of Latino workers, which threatens to limit the possibility of increased economic security—a stronger America.  The truth is that our economy won’t work without a strong labor force, that includes Latinos.

Tomorrow night at 9pm EST, join us for a special #LATISM Twitter party. We’ll be joined by @NCLR, their policy analyst (@NCLR_Labor) and Vanessa Cárdenas (@vcardenasDC), Director of Progress 2050, a project of the Center for American Progress,  to discuss why #OurEconomy won’t work without Latinos.
