$100 Millions For Education In Haiti


Laurent Lamothe, Prime Minister said that the country is moving to increase taxes to make a big difference in the education system. 70 Percent of the teachers in Haiti have not completed sixth grade. They would have to be trained for it and that would be a $23 million program.

Michel Martelly is part of the education fund and he is focused on sending more Haitian children to school tuition-free. The lawmakers from Haiti have agreed to a government impose surcharge on the sales of tabacco and alcohol.
